Women in Engineering

Get inspired, get networking and get a whole host of new contacts at the Women in Engineering Forum this April!

The next Women in Engineering Forum, supported by the UK Resource  Centre for Women in SET will be taking place on 23 April 2010 at the  London Event. Register to attend now!

It is no secret that the engineering and construction industries have suffered at the hands of the current economic climate and as such, opportunities for face-to-face industry networking are more essential than ever at present.

Offering women at all stages of their career the chance to share experiences, make new contacts, and hear about exciting new vacancies, the Women in Engineering Forum provides an invaluable networking opportunity in what is a tough, male dominated industry.

The forum will begin with a presentation from a leading female engineer at 12 noon, followed by a networking lunch to which delegates are welcome, giving them the opportunity to speak informally to both the speaker and a host of engineering professionals, who will be on hand as facilitators.

The forum is free to attend and places are on a first come, first served basis, so arrive early to avoid disappointment!

Previous attendees who have found the forum  valuable:

"The Women in Engineering Forum at NECR was a great opportunity to meet other female engineers from other businesses on a relaxed level. It was particularly interesting to see and hear common experiences across a wide range of disciplines and ages. I really enjoyed the experience and would encourage female engineers to attend these events in the future."
Dr Helen Meese, Electro-Mechanical Power Engineer, Alstec

"As a networker at the Women in Engineering Forum I found it to be an excellent opportunity for us to meet with female engineers in an informal way, allowing delegates to open up and discuss any issues they may have. It was a fantastic way for us to pass on our message and raise awareness of the Mitsubishi brand to potential candidates."
Daniela Horder, Mitsubishi Electric B.V. Project Engineering Division
