Job Introduction

As the Lead Solution Design Manager you will design and optimise efficient customer fulfilment infrastructures and processes enabling excellent customer service and giving our colleagues a safe and great place to work.

Our Customer Fulfilment business is part of the online Grocery market, the biggest growth area for the Tesco Family.  It is a dynamic operation with great focus on all aspects of the service we deliver to our customers - we have the scope to directly influence every part of the operation from the point when the customer clicks to confirm their order to the point we are handing it to them at the door – be it the layout of buildings, the methods we use or the way we meet our customers in their homes. We are directly working to Serve Britain’s shoppers a little better every day.

Main Responsibilities

  • I provide support and solution design feasibility services for internal colleagues.
  • I constantly review the existing CFC estate, in order to provide the optimum solution design to maximise the potential of each site.
  • I am responsible for internal maintenance and engineering teams within the CFC network and management of sub contract maintenance.
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best
  • Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious

The Ideal Candidate

Operational Skills

  • Detailed data analysis.
  • Engineering management across multiple sites.
  • Material flow planning
  • Bottle neck analysis 
  • Process Improvement.
  • Programme Management methodology
  • Financial Budget Management
  • Detailed understanding of H&S requirements in an operational environment.

 

Relevant Experience 

  • Best in class practice of online fulfilment in a large online company
  • Operational experience in online fulfilment
  • Fulfilment solution design
  • Engineering and automation experience in manufacturing or fulfillment environment
  • Detailed analysis and project management skills.
  • Experience of managing complex automated solutions.
