Isle of White College
The Isle of Wight College STEM Centre (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will provide large flexible learning spaces, industry standard workshops and high technology resources. Supporting a broader more relevant curriculum in STEM subjects to meet the needs of Isle of Wight learners, local employers, the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and other stakeholders.
There will be the best engineering training facilities covering robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, CAD/CAM systems and 3D scanning/printing manufacturing facilities. To futher support the increasing number of island employers in the renewable technology industry, the College will expand its practical provision through the installation of sustainable technology equipment, including rooftop solar panels and a wind turbine, to support the delivery of courses in renewable energies.
We are looking to recruit a number of gradute engineers within the Mechanical and Engineering department on The Isle of Wight, to include; Lecturers of Engineering, Engineering Director of Cirriculum and Section Leader (Motor Vehicle).
The STEM building will provide a best-in-class learning environment, preparing learners for the transition to the workplace.
