Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Assessor

£400 a day +

As part of the new apprenticeship standards, we are working with a leading Awarding Organisation to provide End-Point Assessors in Maintenance Engineering

As a Technician you will understand:

  • first principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate plant and equipment
  • relevant industry health and safety standards, regulations, and environmental and regulatory requirements
  • maintenance and operational practices, processes and procedures covering a range of plant and equipment
  • the relevant engineering theories and principles relative to their occupation

Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technicians covers 7 roles: Electrical Technicians; Mechanical Technicians; Control & Instrumentation Technicians; Wind Turbine Technicians Electrical System and Process Control Technicians; Electromechanical Technicians and Plant Operations Technicians.

Role requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • A thorough knowledge of your occupational area recent experience of your chosen occupational route which demonstrates industry competence i.e experience in the job (not assessing) in the last 12 months
  • An assessor qualification (Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, A1 or D32/D33)

Additional requirement

  • You will have excellent communication, organisation and planning skills in addition to good IT skills and be competent working with online reports.
  • first principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate plant and equipment
  • relevant industry health and safety standards, regulations, and environmental and regulatory requirements
  • maintenance and operational practices, processes and procedures covering a range of plant and equipment
  • the relevant engineering theories and principles relative to their occupation
  • Ongoing maintenance of your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will be required so that we can be confident that your competency is up to date, in line with qualification requirements.
