World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings.
We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to the stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems.
As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to high volume manufacturing in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we now have an opportunity for a Systems Implementation Manager to join our Operations Engineering Group.
The role of the Systems Implementation Manager is to deliver highly complex and time critical systems projects to the business as we become increasingly reliant on systems (make and release of product as well as new system delivery).
Providing technical direction, leadership and support to project teams, you will take responsibility for project scoping/planning, resource allocation, project schedules, and management updates. Leading projects from product definition, through system architecture, requirements writing, requirements management, requirements analysis, risk analysis, hazard analysis, product test and evaluation, System V & V, and/or design control documentation, and on to completion, you will own Systems Implementation activities within the Operations Engineering function.
You will need be a degree qualified Engineer, ideally within Electronic Engineering or equivalent. You will bring experience in systems (IT, coding or databases), delivering high capital spend projects, and a background in people management. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of accomplishing your goals, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively. You will be an impactful and inspiring leader with a strong systems technical knowledge, bringing ability to coach mentor and develop teams, empower people, and effectively grow your organisation’s capabilities. Experience in Medical Devices production equipment or similar regulated environment is preferred.
