Company Profile
Vauxhall has been manufacturing and selling vehicles in the UK since 1903.
Vauxhall cars have been loved and driven from the earliest day of the company through to the present day. Our vehicles have been part of the fabric of British life and we feel a sense of gratitude to those who have taken our cars into their hearts and homes for more than 110 years. Vauxhall has been a British favourite since first hitting the road. The Corsa and Astra are up there as the UK’s biggest sellers with the new Vauxhall Astra being awarded European Car of the Year 2016. VIVA is our punchy 1.0L compact car and the ADAM has over a million different combinations. The Vauxhall Mokka is our stylish SUV, the Cascada is an affordable convertible car with glamour and premium technology and Insignia and Zafira are both class leaders.
The Ellesmere Port plant opened in 1963 and is still going strong today, employing over 2,000 people building the new Astra and Astra Sports Tourer. The Vivaro is manufactured in Luton, the UK’s most productive van plant where 1 million vans have rolled off the production line. Vauxhall employs over 4,000 people and over 25,000 people are directly affected by Vauxhall including retailers, suppliers and agencies. We export over 60% of UK production. Vauxhall pushes the boundaries in terms of technology. For example, OnStar is a personal on-board assistant offering WiFi hotspots for up to seven devices, automatic crash response, vehicle diagnostics and much more. Apple CarPlay and Intellilink are available across the range providing unrivalled entertainment and connectivity.
Vauxhall has sponsored the Home Nations football since 2011.
Vauxhall is also the official UK car partner of Liverpool FC.
