The Engineering and Technology Board (ETB) seeks to take a lead role in partnerships with Government, business and industry, education and the profession to improve the perception of engineering and technology careers, and to promote the vital contribution that engineering and technology make to the UK economy and quality of life for its citizens.
In doing so, the goal is to increase the supply and professional development of skilled people to UK engineering and technology businesses so that the UK can compete successfully in the world economy.
The ETB is active in the areas of engineering and technology education and skills policy including research, the image and perception of the engineering industry and related careers, and the provision of careers information, and public and media engagement programmes for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
