Mouchel

From roads and railways, water and waste, to schools and other essential infrastructure, evidence of their work is everywhere.

Right now, they employ over 11,000 talented people - and are poised to rapidly expand operations over the next few years, underpinned by a strong order book. So for those with real ambition and drive, there's never been a better time to join the company.

Mouchel is a firm of breathtaking scope, working with government agencies, local authorities and the private sector to provide safe, reliable roads and railways, well-managed education and civic infrastructure, clean water and cost-effective energy. It's a diverse remit - and one that's reflected in the business.

They have some of the most highly skilled teams in the world, spanning a wide range of disciplines. Some of the projects can be very high-profile; they recently worked on the first carbon-fibre public bridge in Western Europe, helped London Underground to improve their infrastructure, and carried out important upgrade work for several of the UK's largest water companies. They're also behind more unusual ventures too, such as tackling crime and antisocial behaviour in Hackney and developing a permanent site for travellers in Liverpool.

Graduates train through the Mouchel Academy, a structured development programme that has been designed with the tools to succeed. Alongside formal technical training, the Programme will provide the skills and career support needed to flourish in a client-driven environment. The programme itself lasts 18 months, during which time your professional development will be kick-started with a relevant professional body. You'll also receive help and guidance on planning your future within the business. Most graduates after the programme go on to study for a chartership within their chosen specialism.

Engineering graduates take around four years to become accredited, but they then undertake a range of roles: from hands-on technical positions to those that focus more on project management. In the case of the latter, you'll use your technical knowledge to liaise with both clients and contractors and ensure each project gets delivered.

Non-engineering graduates take on roles within management consultancy, project management or business support. These roles are ideal for those who are more commercially-minded and who want to focus on the bigger picture.

Graduates are offered a highly competitive starting salary with an outstanding range of benefits, including a company pension, private healthcare, and 24 days' holiday per year. You can also buy up to 5 extra days' holiday through the flexible benefits scheme. For more details and to apply, visit www.mouchel.com
